To take the shuttle you will need to show your employee badge.  If you have not received your badge yet reference the pick up your badge information below.

To use the shuttle before picking up your badge, you will need to present another photo ID when boarding and explain to the driver that you are an employee without a badge.

If you are taking a taxi or rideshare to the lab, both the employee and driver will need to show their lab ID badge at the gate.

If you are being picked up by a taxi or rideshare, it's recommended that you meet them at parking lot F (directly outside the Blackberry Canyon Entrance).

Only affiliates in the job classifications of affiliate faculty, affiliate scientists, and affiliate post-docs are qualified for temporary general parking permit.  

Student affiliates, student interns, and student assistants are classifications who are not able to receive a parking permit during their appointment.  If you have an extreme need or situation please work with your supervisor so see if one can be provided to you on a short-term basis.

There are off-site parking garages close to Berkeley Lab or close to the Berkeley Lab shuttle system that can be utilized.
